Dress for Success Fall Clothing Drive

Dress for Success Columbus helps prepare women looking for work with job training skills, professional supplies, and a work wardrobe. Our alumnae chapter has been supporting Dress For Success by hosting clothing and supply drives over the last three years.

As you begin to pull out your fall clothing, please consider setting some aside for our Fall Clothing Drive, September 24th-October 10th. Bring your donations to the Fall Potluck, or check your email for a list of drop off locations.

A few items they’re always on the lookout for:

  • New undergarments—they recommend buying your own size so they get a variety
  • Shoes in a variety of sizes
  • Gently used work bags, professional clothing, and accessories
  • Portfolios and flash drives
  • Unused makeup—like the samples you might get from the monthly subscription boxes

Study Sweets Fundraiser 2018


Kappa Alpha Theta encourages all Alumnae Chapters to hold an annual fundraiser in support of the Theta Foundation and our official philanthropy, CASA.

The Columbus Alumnae Chapter contributes to these causes through our annual "Study Sweets" fundraiser.

Our marketing is directed to the parents of our local collegians at Alpha Gamma, Gamma deuteron, and Beta Tau, so that they may purchase a box of delicious homemade treats for their daughters as they study for fall semester finals.
Our college women love our sweets, and we have received many positive comments from parents who appreciate being able to send their daughters a little TLC at finals. We think it is a great way to show our collegians and their parents alike that "Theta is for a Lifetime!".

Boxes contain one dozen assorted goodies and include a personalized note to the collegian,
at a cost of $15 for individuals and $12 for communal “house” boxes.
With minimal overhead, this makes for great profits to donate on behalf of the Columbus Alumnae Chapter to our Theta causes.

In 2017, we sold 130+ boxes between the three chapters, resulting in $1,500 of sales!

The best part? You don’t need to buy or sell anything!
All we ask is that you contribute a few dozen of your best holiday cookies or treats to be included in the boxes.

Unlike past years, we will only have ONE baking drop off date this year, due to exam schedules.
Our baking drop off deadline will be December 7th, with our Holiday Ornament Exchange conveniently scheduled for December 5th if you would like to bring your baking to that event!

If you are unable to drop off, arrangements can be made to have your cookies picked up.
